Sayyiduna Wathilah bin al-Asqa' (may Allah be pleased with him) states that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In place of the Torah I have been given the seven long (surahs)." After this the narrator mentioned the complete hadith.
Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Imran al-Qattan, whom Ibn Hibban and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), while al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) and others declared him da'if (weak). The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
