قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : فَرَدُّوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِي أَفْوَاهِهِمْ .
The saying of Allah the Exalted: "But they returned their hands to their mouths"

اُردوEn
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ - فِي قَوْلِهِ : ( فَرَدُّوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِي أَفْوَاهِهِمْ ) قَالَ : عَضُّوا أَصَابِعَهُمْ غَيْظًا . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates concerning this saying of Allah Almighty, (Allah Almighty says:) "They returned their hands to their mouths." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: That is, they bit their fingers in rage.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it from his teacher Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Sa'id bin Abi Maryam, and he is da'if (weak).
