قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : يَمْحُوا اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَيُثْبِتُ .

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " " يَمْحُو اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ " إِلَّا الشِّقْوَةَ وَالسَّعَادَةَ وَالْحَيَاةَ وَالْمَوْتَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ الْيَمَامِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ مِنْ غَيْرِ تَعَمُّدِ كَذِبٍ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: (Allah Almighty says:) "Allah erases whatever He wills." (The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:) "Except for wretchedness, felicity, life and death; their matter is different."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Jabir al-Yamami, and he is da'if (weak); he does not deliberately misstate.
