عَنْ جَابِرٍ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - قَالَ : جَاءَ بَشْنَانُ الْيَهُودِيِّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ أَسْمَاءِ النُّجُومِ الَّتِي رَآهَا يُوسُفُ تَسْجُدُ لَهُ ؟ قَالَ : " الْخَرْتَانُ وَطَارِقٌ وَالذَّيَّالُ وَقَابِسٌ وَالْمُصِحُّ وَالصَّرُوحُ وَذُو الْكَنَفَيْنِ وَذُو الْفَرْغِ وَالْفَيْلَقُ وَوَثَّابٌ وَالْعَمُودَانِ رَآهَا يُوسُفُ تَسْجُدُ لَهُ ، فَقَصَّهَا عَلَى أَبِيهِ ، فَقَالَ : هَذَا أَمْرٌ مُتَفَرِّقٌ ، وَلَعَلَّ اللَّهَ يَجْمَعُهُ بَعْدُ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ ظُهَيْرٍ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Bashnan the Jew came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! Tell me the names of the stars which Sayyiduna Yusuf (peace be upon him) saw in his dream prostrating to him." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Their names are as follows:) "Khartan, Tariq, Dhayyal, Qabis, Musih, Saruh, Dhu al-Kanafayn, Dhu al-Far', Fayliq, Waththab and Amudan. These are the stars which Sayyiduna Yusuf (peace be upon him) saw prostrating to him. He related his dream to his father, and his father said: 'This is a scattered matter; perhaps Allah Almighty will gather it together later.'"
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, al-Hakam bin Zuhayr, and he is matruk (abandoned).
