Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 1107

Umm Kulthum bint Abdullah bin Zam'ah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that her grandmother, Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), handed her a vessel made of brass and said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to take the ritual bath with it. (The female narrator states:) That vessel held about one sa' of water, or less.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this report in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. I have not seen anyone give an account of this woman named Umm Kulthum; the rest of the narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
