قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا .

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَى عُوَيْمِ بْنِ سَاعِدَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا هَذَا الطُّهُورُ الَّذِي أَثْنَى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ ؟ " . فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا خَرَجَ مِنَّا رَجُلٌ وَلَا امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ إِلَّا غَسَلَ فَرْجَهُ - أَوْ قَالَ : مَقْعَدَتَهُ - فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " هُوَ هَذَا " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ وَهُوَ مُدَلِّسٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ وُثِّقُوا . وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَتْ أَحَادِيثُ فِي الطَّهَارَةِ مِنْ هَذَا النَّحْوِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When this verse was revealed: "In it are men who love to purify themselves thoroughly," the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message to Sayyiduna Uwaym bin Sa'idah (may Allah be pleased with him) asking: "What is this manner of purification for which Allah Almighty has praised you?" They said: "O Messenger of Allah! Whoever of us, man or woman, goes to relieve himself washes his private part" (here the narrator has a doubt about one word). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This must be the reason."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Ishaq, and he is a mudallis; the remaining narrators of this narration have been declared trustworthy. Some hadiths of this kind have already passed in the chapters on purification.
