قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : لَوْ أَنْفَقْتَ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا .

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ - فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - : لَوْ أَنْفَقْتَ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مَا أَلَّفْتَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَلَّفَ بَيْنَهُمْ قَالَ : نَزَلَتْ فِي الْمُتَحَابِّينَ فِي اللَّهِ . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، غَيْرَ سَلْمِ بْنِ جُنَادَةَ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: (Allah Almighty says:) "Had you spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together, but Allah has brought them together." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This verse was revealed concerning those who love one another for the sake of Allah.
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Salm bin Junadah, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).
