عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ خُذِ الْعَفْوَ قَالَ : أَمَرَ اللَّهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - نَبِيَّهُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ الْعَفْوَ مِنْ أَخْلَاقِ النَّاسِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates concerning this verse: (Allah Almighty says:) "Adopt forgiveness." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Allah Almighty commanded His Prophet to adopt, from among people's manners, the manner of forgiving.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
