Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 11018

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) was asked a question (or: Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) asked for something), and that thing was given to Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). It is this saying of Allah Almighty: "And Musa chose from his people seventy men," up to: "So I will decree it for those who are God-fearing."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Ata' bin al-Sa'ib, who had become confused (ikhtilat) in memory, and the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
