قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : وَعَلَى الْأَعْرَافِ رِجَالٌ .

وَعَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَدَنِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - سُئِلَ عَنْ أَصْحَابِ الْأَعْرَافِ ، قَالَ : " قَوْمٌ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِمَعْصِيَةِ آبَائِهِمْ ، فَمَنَعَتْهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ مَعْصِيَةُ آبَائِهِمْ ، وَمَنَعَتْهُمُ النَّارَ قَتْلُهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ نَجِيحٌ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Umar bin Abd al-Rahman al-Madani narrates from his father that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the people of al-A'raf, and he said: "They are people who were martyred in the path of Allah while they were disobedient to their fathers. Their disobedience to their fathers kept them from entering Paradise, and their being killed in the path of Allah kept them from entering Hell."
