قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : وَآتُوا حَقَّهُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِ .
The saying of Allah the Exalted: "And give its due on the day of its harvest"
Majma al-Zawaid 11003 — The saying of Allah the Exalted: "And give"
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فِي قَوْلِهِ : ( وَآتُوا حَقَّهُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِ ) قَالَ : كَانُوا يُعْطُونَ مَنِ اعْتَرَاهُمْ شَيْئًا سِوَى الصَّدَقَةِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: (Allah Almighty says:) "And give its due on the day of its harvest." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Formerly people used to give something, apart from the obligatory charity, to whoever came to them asking for something.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
