Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 10947

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: When this verse was revealed: "Indeed, those whom the angels take in death while they are wronging themselves," up to the end of the verse, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: There were some people in Makkah who had accepted Islam. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) migrated to Madinah, these people disliked migrating and became afraid. So Allah Almighty revealed this verse: "Indeed, those whom the angels take in death while they are wronging themselves," up to: "Except for the weak."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Qays bin al-Rabi', whom Shu'bah and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), while a group declared him da'if (weak).
