قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : إِنْ تَجْتَنِبُوا كَبَائِرَ مَا تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُكَفِّرْ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ
The saying of Allah the Exalted: "If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your lesser sins"

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْكَبَائِرِ قَالَ : مَا بَيْنَ أَوَّلِ سُورَةِ النِّسَاءِ إِلَى رَأْسِ ثَلَاثِينَ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ . قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَتْ أَبْوَابُ الْكَبَائِرِ فِي أَوَاخِرِ كِتَابِ الْإِيمَانِ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ . قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَتْ أَبْوَابُ الْكَبَائِرِ فِي أَوَاخِرِ كِتَابِ الْإِيمَانِ .
It is reported about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was asked about the major sins, and he said: "They are those mentioned from the beginning of Surah al-Nisa up to the thirtieth verse."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih. (Allamah al-Haythami said:) I say: The chapters on the major sins have already passed at the end of the Book of Faith.
