Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wherever qunut is mentioned in the Qur'an, it means obedience."
Ahmad, Abu Ya'la and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat recorded it. The chains of Ahmad and Abu Ya'la contain a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, who is da'if (weak), but his hadith has been graded hasan (good); among the narrators of al-Mu'jam al-Awsat is Rishdin bin Sa'd, who is da'if (weak).
