قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : أَوْ يَعْفُوَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ عُقْدَةُ النِّكَاحِ .
The saying of Allah the Exalted: "Or the one in whose hand is the marriage contract pardons"

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ عُقْدَةُ النِّكَاحِ : الزَّوْجُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one in whose hand is the knot of marriage means the husband."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, in whom there is weakness.
