قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْرِي نَفْسَهُ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاةِ اللَّهِ .
The saying of Allah the Exalted: "And among the people is he who sells himself, seeking the pleasure of Allah"

عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى : وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْرِي نَفْسَهُ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاةِ اللَّهِ قَالَ : نَزَلَتْ فِي صُهَيْبِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، وَأَبِي ذَرٍّ ، وَالَّذِي أَدْرَكَ صُهَيْبًا بِطَرِيقِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَنَفَرُ بْنُ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ إِلَى ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ .

Ibn Jurayj narrated regarding this statement of Allah Almighty, (Allah Almighty says:) "And among the people are those who sell themselves seeking the pleasure of Allah." Ibn Jurayj narrates: It was revealed concerning Sayyiduna Suhayb bin Sinan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him), and it was revealed concerning the man who caught up with Sayyiduna Suhayb (may Allah be pleased with him) on the road to Madinah, and that was Qunfudh bin Umayr bin Jud'an.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators up to Ibn Jurayj are thiqat (trustworthy).
