قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : وَآتَى الْمَالَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ .
The saying of Allah the Exalted: "And gives wealth, in spite of love for it"

قَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ : أَنْ تُؤْتِيَهُ وَأَنْتَ صَحِيحٌ شَحِيحٌ ، تَأْمُلُ الْعَيْشَ ، وَتَخْشَى الْفَقْرَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: What is meant by this is that you give wealth while you are healthy, eager for wealth, hoping to live, and fearing poverty.
