قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى .

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، لَوِ اتَّخَذْنَا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى ؟ فَنَزَلَتْ : وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْمَدَائِنِيُّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! If we were to take the place where Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) stood as a place of prayer (it would be fitting). So this verse was revealed concerning it: "Take the Station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Ja'far bin Muhammad bin Ja'far al-Mada'ini, whom I do not know; the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
