وَعَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كَتَبَ كِتَابًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِأَلْفَيْ عَامٍ ، فَأَنْزَلَ مِنْهُ آيَتَيْنِ خَتَمَ بِهِمَا سُورَةَ الْبَقَرَةِ ، لَا يُقْرَآنِ فِي دَارٍ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ ، فَيَقْرَبُهَا شَيْطَانٌ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty wrote a Book two thousand years before creating the heavens and the earth, and from it He sent down two verses with which Surah al-Baqarah ends. In whatever house these two verses are recited, Satan will not come there for three nights."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
