Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 10814

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every child that is born has five verses of Surah al-Fatihah written on the joints of his head."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains al-Walid bin al-Walid, whom Abu Hatim and Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy), while a group declared him matruk (abandoned). The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
