بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الْعَفْوِ عَنِ الْجَانِي وَالْقَاتِلِ .

Majma al-Zawaid 10797 — Reports on pardoning the offender
وَعَنْ ابْنِ الصَّامِتِ - يَعْنِي عُبَادَةَ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ تَصَدَّقَ مِنْ جَسَدِهِ بِشَيْءٍ ، كَفَّرَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِقَدْرِ ذُنُوبِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِلَفْظِ : " مَنْ تَصَدَّقَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ جَسَدِهِ أُعْطِيَ بِقَدْرِ مَا تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ " . وَرِجَالُ الْمُسْنَدِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِلَفْظِ : " مَنْ تَصَدَّقَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ جَسَدِهِ أُعْطِيَ بِقَدْرِ مَا تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ " . وَرِجَالُ الْمُسْنَدِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever gives something of his body in charity (that is, forgives the one who wronged him), Allah Almighty wipes away his sins in the same measure."
Abdullah bin Ahmad recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded it with these words: "Whoever gives something of his body in charity is granted (forgiveness) in the measure of what he gave in charity." The narrators of the Musnad are the narrators of the Sahih.
