Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: In the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), a man bit another man's hand. The other man pulled his hand away, and the first man's teeth fell out, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared those teeth to be uncompensated (no compensation was due for them).
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that al-Tabarani judged the narrator Sa'id bin Amr al-Ash'athi to have made an error (wahm). The other students of Ibn Uyaynah contradicted him: they narrated this report from Ibn Uyaynah, from Amr, from Ata', from Sayyiduna Safwan bin Ya'la bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him), and that is correct. And Allah knows best.
