عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ : أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنْ لَا آتِيَ أَهْلِي فِي غُرَّةِ الْهِلَالِ ، وَأَنْ لَا أَتَوَضَّأَ مِنَ النُّحَاسِ ، وَأَنْ أَسْتَنَّ كُلَّمَا قُمْتُ مِنْ سُنَّتِي .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، وَهُوَ مُنْكَرُ الْحَدِيثِ .

Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded me not to be intimate with my wife in the first days of the new moon, not to perform ablution from a copper vessel, and to use the miswak whenever I wake up.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Ubaydah bin Hassan, and he is munkar al-hadith (his narrations are rejected).
