عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ أَوْسٍ - وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ، فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ - وَيُقَالُ : مُخْبِرٌ - وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Shurahbil bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him), who was one of the Companions, narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever drinks wine, flog him; if he does it again, flog him again; if he does it yet again, kill him."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Imran bin Muhammad, who is also called Mukhbir, and I do not know him; the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
