Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 1049

Alqamah narrates: A man from among the polytheists said to Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): It seems to me that your master has taught you everything, so much so that he has even taught you how you should go to relieve yourselves! Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If you wish to mock (then let me tell you) that he taught us that (while relieving ourselves) our private parts should not face the qiblah (the narrator says: I think he also said:) that we should not cleanse ourselves (istinja) with our right hands, that we should not cleanse ourselves with dung, that we should not cleanse ourselves with bone, and that we should not cleanse ourselves with fewer than three stones.
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
