عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ : كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ :
" فِيكُمْ مَنْ يُقَاتِلُ عَلَى تَأْوِيلِ الْقُرْآنِ كَمَا قَاتَلْتُ عَلَى تَنْزِيلِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ جَيِّدٌ .
قُلْتُ : وَلَهُ طَرِيقٌ أَطْوَلُ مِنْ هَذِهِ فِي مَنَاقِبِ عَلِيٍّ ، وَكَذَلِكَ أَحَادِيثُ فِي مَنْ يُقَاتِلُهُ .

قُلْتُ : وَلَهُ طَرِيقٌ أَطْوَلُ مِنْ هَذِهِ فِي مَنَاقِبِ عَلِيٍّ ، وَكَذَلِكَ أَحَادِيثُ فِي مَنْ يُقَاتِلُهُ .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "Among you is one who will fight over the interpretation of the Qur'an just as I fought over its revelation."
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain is jayyid (good). (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: This report has another route, longer than this one, which will come in the chapter on the virtues of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him); likewise there are some hadiths concerning those whom he would fight.
