وَعَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِذَا تَغَوَّطَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَمْسَحْ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ ، فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ كَافِيهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ ، إِلَّا أَنَّ أَبَا شُعَيْبٍ صَاحِبَ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ لَمْ أَرَ فِيهِ تَعْدِيلًا وَلَا جَرْحًا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ ، إِلَّا أَنَّ أَبَا شُعَيْبٍ صَاحِبَ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ لَمْ أَرَ فِيهِ تَعْدِيلًا وَلَا جَرْحًا .
Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any of you defecates, he should clean (his private part) with three stones; that will suffice for him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy, except that the case of Abu Shu'ayb, the companion (that is, student) of Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), is different: I have not seen any declaration of his reliability (ta'dil) or any criticism (jarh) of him.
