Ibn Shihab, among the names of the Muslims who were martyred on the day of al-Jisr, which took place in the year 15 AH, mentioned these persons: from the Ansar, of the branch Banu Abd al-Ashhal, Sayyiduna Aws bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him); from the Ansar, of the branch Banu Sa'idah, Sayyiduna As'ad bin Harithah bin Lawdhan (may Allah be pleased with him); from the Ansar, Sayyiduna Thabit bin Atik (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Tha'labah bin Amr bin Muhsan (may Allah be pleased with him); from the Ansar, of the branch Banu Mu'awiyah, Sayyiduna al-Harith bin Adi bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna al-Harith bin Mas'ud bin Abd bin Muzahir (may Allah be pleased with him). Al-Tabarani recorded both these narrations with a single chain, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
