Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent us on an expedition, and we were routed. Sa'd pursued one of their riders. The rider turned towards him, and Sa'd saw his shin sticking out of the stirrup, so he shot him with an arrow. I saw his blood flowing as if it were a strap, and he made his mount kneel down.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
