Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Unays (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The men whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent to kill Ibn Abi al-Huqayq are these: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Atik (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Unays (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him), an ally of theirs, and a man belonging to the Ansar. These people reached Khaybar at night. They went towards their doors, and we locked them from the outside. Ibn Abi al-Huqayq's wife said: "This is the voice of Abdullah bin Atik." He said: "Open the door." The woman opened the door, and Abdullah bin Atik and I went in. Abdullah said: "You deal with her." I stepped forward to strike the woman with the sword, but then I remembered that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had forbidden killing women and children, so I held back from her. Ali bin al-Madini says: This is Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Unays al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him); he is not the Juhani from whom Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Ibrahim bin Isma'il bin Mujammi', and he is da'if (weak).
