Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) reports about the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that it was his habit to guard himself against (the splashes of) urine, and he would command his Companions to do the same. Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Most of the punishment of the grave is because of urine.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Rishdin bin Sa'd, whom most scholars declared da'if (weak), while Imam Ahmad said: His hadith on matters that soften the heart (al-raqa'iq) may be tolerated. It also contains Abdullah bin Judhaym, also called Ibn Hurayth, narrating from Mu'adh, and I have not seen anyone who mentions him.
