Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 103

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Faith has seventy-odd branches; the highest of them is saying La ilaha illallah (there is no god but Allah), and the lowest (branch) is removing something harmful from the road."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; the narrators of its chain are mastur (of unverified status). And Allah knows best.
