Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 10279

Sayyiduna Yazid bin Amir al-Suwa'i (may Allah be pleased with him), who took part in the Battle of Hunayn on the side of the polytheists and later accepted Islam: The narrator says: We asked him about the terror that Allah Almighty cast into their hearts on the occasion of the Battle of Hunayn: what was it like? Sayyiduna Yazid bin Amir al-Suwa'i (may Allah be pleased with him) took a pebble and threw it into a basin, and it rang out. He said: "We used to feel something like this inside our bellies."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
