Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Sa'ib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In the year of al-Hudaybiyah, when Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) told the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that Suhayl had been sent by his people to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to settle with him that he would go back this year, and that next year they would vacate it (Makkah) for him for three days, he said: "Suhayl (is coming); now the matter will become sahl (that is, easy) for you."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Mu'ammal bin Wahb al-Makhzumi, from whom only his son Abdullah narrates, and he has been declared trustworthy; the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
