Al-Muntaqa Ibn al-Jarud 825 — Amputation for theft
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، قَالَ : أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : " قَطَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مِجَنٍّ قِيمَتُهُ ثَلاثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the hand to be cut off for the theft of a shield, the value of which was three dirhams.
