بَابُ التَّرْغِيْبِ فِي الصَّبْرِ عَلَى الْمَكَارِهِ مُطْلَقًا وَفَضْل ذلِكَ

Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 9358 — on encouragement to patience in the face
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ مِنْ وَصَبٍ وَلَا نَصَبٍ وَلَا هَمٍّ وَلَا حُزْنٍ وَلَا أَذًى وَلَا غَمٍّ حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ يُشَاكُهَا إِلَّا كَفَّرَ اللَّهُ مِنْ خَطَايَاهُ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah and Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with them) narrate that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whenever a believer is afflicted with pain and hardship, fatigue and weariness, sorrow and grief, or distress and loss—even the prick of a thorn that hurts him—Allah, because of it, forgives his sins.
