Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 7805 — on the Sin of Fleeing from the Plague
عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ الْعَدَوِيَّةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا تَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْفَارُّ مِنَ الطَّاعُونِ كَالْفَارِّ مِنَ الزَّحْفِ
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who flees from the plague is like the one who flees from the battlefield in terms of sin.
