عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْفَارُّ مِنَ الطَّاعُونِ كَالْفَارِّ مِنَ الزَّحْفِ وَالصَّابِرُ فِيهِ كَالصَّابِرِ فِي الزَّحْفِ
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who flees from the plague incurs as much sin as the one who flees from the battlefield, and the one who remains patient during the plague receives a reward like the one who remains patient in the battlefield.
