Associating Partners with Allah Almighty

Reference: (4-An-Nisa:116)

❀ Allah Almighty has said:
“He will never forgive Allah for associating partners with Him, but He forgives whom He wills other than that. And whoever associates partners with Allah has certainly gone far astray.”

He (peace be upon him) said: (The greatest sin) is to associate partners with Allah.”

Declaring what Allah has forbidden as permissible and what He has permitted as forbidden

Sheikh Albani has classified it as Hasan.
“And when Sayyiduna Uday ibn Hatim رضي الله عنه heard the recitation of these verses: ﴿اتَّخَذُوا اَحبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِنْ دُونِ اللهِ﴾, he said in astonishment: We did not worship them, did we? Upon this, the Noble Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said: That is true, but they made unlawful things of Allah permissible for themselves, which they considered permissible, and they made lawful things of Allah forbidden for themselves, which they considered forbidden; so this is their worship.”

Magic and Astrology

Reference: (2-Al-Baqarah:102)

❀ Allah Almighty has said:
“And they followed what the devils used to recite during the reign of Solomon. Solomon did not disbelieve, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels did not teach anyone until they had said, ‘We are only a trial, so do not disbelieve.’ Yet they learned from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by Allah’s permission. And they learned what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew.”

Indeed, your Lord is One, and your father is One. Remember, no Arab has superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have superiority over an Arab, (nor) a red person over a black person, nor a black person over a red person, except by piety. Indeed, the most honored is the one with the most Taqwa.”
