❖ Question
Some Ahl al-Hadith individuals are defending the Rafidah for the sake of politicians. In this time of tribulation, should a detailed fatwa be issued to guide the youth?
❖ Answer by Fadheelat al-‘Aalim Khidr Hayat ( حفظه الله )
This issue has already been addressed in detail by many scholars, so there is no need to issue a separate fatwa.
➊ Refrain from Unnecessary Debates
◄ Do not take such individuals too seriously, otherwise, you will remain disturbed without reason.
◄ If there is hope for reform, try to explain matters to them; otherwise, avoid getting entangled in such discussions.
➋ Root Cause of Political Tension
◈ What you perceive as “defending the Rafidah” is actually driven by political factors and other issues, not merely a matter of belief.
◈ The more such disputes are discussed, the more intense they become.
➌ Focus on Reform and the Right Direction
◄ Instead of engaging in unnecessary disputes over such matters, focus on the core tenets of belief and religion.
◄ Pray to Allah ﷻ to grant everyone correct understanding and the ability to walk upon the path of truth.
➍ Conclusion
It is incorrect to escalate matters of creed on the basis of political disputes. Guide those who are open to reform and avoid baseless disagreements. May Allah ﷻ guide everyone to the right path.
