❖ Atheism and Religious Certainty: The Inner Conflict of Modern Man ❖

✿ God’s Existence: Religious and Rational Standpoints
In religion, belief in the existence of God is undeniable and foundational. However, with the rise of modern psychology and sociopolitical shifts, questions about God’s existence have intensified. Nietzsche’s famous declaration, “God is dead,” reflects a philosophical transformation where modern man appears to have lost the capacity to believe in God. Philosophers even argued that with the denial of God, man’s own essence disappears—a clear reflection of a disoriented spiritual and intellectual condition.
✦ Two Types of Human Consciousness
There are two forms of consciousness:
➤ Rational Consciousness – rooted in empirical science, yet prone to errors and deviations, as evident in pseudoscientific cults like Scientology.
➤ Religious Consciousness – though historically misused at times, it remains anchored in its fundamental truths.
Despite occasional missteps, both remain true to their foundational paradigms.
✿ Critique of Abu Yahya’s Perspective
In his article, Abu Yahya suggests that someone who sincerely fails to find evidence of God and presents this plea on the Day of Judgment might be spared from Hell. This idea is neither religiously sound nor rationally sustainable:
➤ Religion demands belief in the unseen (ghayb).
➤ Reason alone cannot grasp divine truths without revelation.
To claim that sincere disbelief excuses one from divine accountability contradicts both theological and rational principles.
✦ Atheism and Its Consequences
A person who, after study and reflection, chooses the path of atheism must be prepared for the consequences of that choice. In Islam, the results of human actions are not confined to this world—their true implications unfold in the Hereafter, which can only be understood through faith.
✿ Fundamental Flaws in the Argument
The article presents a mindset that is neither grounded in atheism nor in firm faith. It represents a philosophical confusion that lacks both clarity and intellectual depth.
✦ Western Propaganda and the Misrepresentation of Muslims
The Western narrative often blames Muslims for global terrorism. At the same time, some Muslims adopt the defeatist idea that people turn to atheism due to Muslim societal failures. Both perspectives are products of Western propaganda, not objective truth.
