◈ The Reported Narrative

A narration claims that the mother of the Companion ʿUthmān ibn Abī al-ʿĀṣ رضي الله عنه was present at the time of the birth of the Prophet ﷺ. She reportedly said:

“When Āminah began experiencing labor pains, it seemed as though all the stars were descending toward the earth, to the extent that I feared they might fall to the ground.

And when the Prophet ﷺ was born, every direction I looked, the entire house was filled with light.”

◈ Ḥadīth Verification

This incident is mentioned in the works of:

✔ Abu Nuʿaym
✔ Ṭabarānī
✔ al-Bayhaqī

However, the chain of transmission includes individuals unreliable in Hadith, namely:

◈ Weak Narrators Identified

① Yaʿqūb ibn Muḥammad al-Zuhrī

He is unreliable and lacks credibility.

② ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwf

He was a storyteller and a liar, known for fabricating reports.

❀ Conclusion

Though emotionally moving, this narration is:

❌ Unsupported by reliable chains,
❌ Contains fabricators and weak transmitters, and
❌ Cannot be accepted as authentic evidence in the seerah of the Prophet ﷺ.
