The ʿĪd prayer was legislated in Madinah — not in Makkah.

❖ Scholarly Consensus:

❀ Imam Abū ʿAbdillāh al-Qurṭubī رحمه الله (d. 671 AH) stated:

“ليس بمكة صلاة عيد بإجماع.”
“There was no ʿĪd prayer in Makkah — this is by consensus.”
(Tafsīr al-Qurṭubī: 20/219)
