Narrated Abdullah bin Umar رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: “I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no true deity except Allah and that Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم is the Messenger of Allah, establish prayer, and give zakat. When they do that, their blood and property are protected from me, but the right of Islam will remain established, and their reckoning will be with Allah.” The wording is from Bukhari’s narration.

In Sahih Muslim it is stated: “When they do that, their blood and property are protected, but the right of Islam will remain established.”

In Sahih Bukhari, it is narrated from Anas bin Malik that: “When they testify that there is no true deity except Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, they face our Qiblah, eat our slaughtered animals, and pray our prayer, then their blood and property are forbidden for us, but their right remains. For them will be what is for the Muslims, and upon them will be what is upon the Muslims.”

Benefits:
➊ Islam provides every kind of protection to the one who enters it. The condition is that the person testifies to the Oneness of Allah and the Prophethood, and is committed to prayer and zakat. The new Muslim will receive the same rights as other Muslims.
➋ A person who becomes Muslim and lives among Muslims is considered safe in terms of Islam. It is forbidden to harm, beat, or kill such a person. Similarly, their property is forbidden for Muslims to take.
➌ Whoever Islam has taken responsibility for, if anyone harms them, it is obligatory to take retribution according to the harm. This is a duty of Islam.
➍ The following matters are essential for a Muslim:
① Testimony of Oneness and Prophethood ② Facing the Ka’bah as Qiblah
③ Eating slaughtered animals according to Muslim method ④ Praying like them
➎ The blood of one another is forbidden for us; shedding blood is an intolerable crime.
