I Am Afraid of Jinn – What Should I Do?
Answer:
A person who fears the jinn should recite the following supplication:
Sayyiduna Ibn ʿAbbās رضي الله عنهما reports that the Noble Prophet ﷺ said:
[Al-Adab al-Mufrad, Hadith No. 708]
“Allah is the Greatest, Allah is mightier than all of His creation. Allah is more powerful than what I fear and worry about. I seek refuge in Allah—there is no deity but Him—Who holds back the seven heavens from falling upon the earth except by His permission. I seek refuge in You from the evil of Your servant [name], his forces, his followers, and his companions among the jinn and mankind. O Allah, be my Protector against their evil. Exalted is Your praise, mighty is Your protection, blessed is Your name, and there is no deity besides You.”
