《Chapter: No Shyness in the Pursuit of Knowledge》
◈ The Necessity of Asking Without Hesitation in Religious Learning ◈
❖ Hadith:
Narrated by Umm Salamah (رضي الله عنها), the wife of the Prophet ﷺ:
She said:
Umm Sulaym, the wife of Abū Ṭalḥah al-Anṣārī, came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: “O Messenger of Allah, indeed Allah is not shy of the truth. Is ghusl (ritual bathing) required for a woman if she experiences a wet dream?”
The Prophet ﷺ replied: “Yes, if she sees fluid.”

❖ Key Lessons:
✔ This narration demonstrates that modesty should not prevent a person from asking questions related to matters of Islamic knowledge, even if the subject seems delicate or personal.
✔ The words “Allah is not shy of the truth” show the etiquette and courage with which a questioner may approach sensitive topics—especially when clarity in religious rulings is required.
✔ The Prophet ﷺ responded clearly and directly, showing that Islam encourages learning with clarity and without embarrassment.
