③ Sayyiduna Amr bin Absa رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
من بنى مسجدا ليذكر الله فيه، بنى الله له بيتا فى الجنة

Greeting the Mosque
① It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
إذا دخل أحدكم المسجد فليركع ركعتين قبل أن يجلس
“When any one of you enters the mosque, he should pray two rak’ahs before sitting down.”
② It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah رضي الله عنه that he said, I reached the mosque while the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was present among the people. He said, I also sat down. Then the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
ما منعك أن تركع ركعتين قبل أن تجلس؟
“Who has forbidden you from praying two rak’ahs before sitting?”
He said, I said, O Messenger of Allah! I saw you and the people sitting (so I also sat). The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:
فإذا دخل أحدكم المسجد فلا يجلس حتى يركع ركعتين
“When any one of you enters the mosque, he should pray two rak’ahs before sitting down.”
