❖ The Ruling on False Testimony

Giving false testimony is among the major sins (kaba’ir) in Islam.

Whoever commits it must:

① Repent sincerely
② Make a firm resolve never to return to false testimony
③ If he is truthful in his repentance, and
④ Restores the rights that were lost or unlawfully acquired due to his false testimony,

then his repentance will be accepted, by the will of Allah.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) says:

[Ash-Shūrā: 25]
“And He is the One who accepts repentance from His servants and pardons sins, and He knows what you do.”
