101- The Islamic ruling on bribery
Bribery is forbidden by both text and consensus. Bribery is when a person spends something to incline a ruler, etc., away from the right and to get a decision according to his own desire. It is authentically proven from the Prophet ﷺ that he cursed both the one who takes and the one who gives bribes.

Also, it is narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that he cursed the middleman who acts as an intermediary for bribery.

And undoubtedly, this person is also sinful, deserving of condemnation, blame, and punishment because he assists in sin and transgression. Allah Almighty says:
«وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ»

“And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.”
