this matter is repeatedly found from him, as Ibn Qayyim Hafizahullah narrated, he says:
I saw my Sheikh, when someone was troubled by a jinn, he would send towards it one who would address the spirit saying: The Sheikh has told me that you must leave, this is not permissible for you. Then the possessed (seizure-afflicted) person would recover. Sometimes he would address it himself, and sometimes if it was a rebellious spirit, he would expel it by striking it, then the possessed would regain health. Most often, they would recite this command of Allah Almighty in the patient’s ear:
«أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ ﴿١١٥﴾ »
“Did you think that We had created you in vain and that you would not be returned to Us?”
